Say no honestly instead of ghosting

There was no spark? That's fine. Two friendly sentences still beat radio silence.

Not every date leads to a second one. That's completely normal and nothing to feel guilty about. It only gets uncomfortable when one side simply disappears.

Ghosting feels convenient in the moment. But it leaves the other person with an open question that often lingers longer than a clear answer would.

Short, kind, clear

You don't have to explain yourself. A message like "Thanks for the lovely evening. I don't feel like we're a match, though. All the best to you!" is plenty.

Avoid phrases like "Maybe another time" if you don't mean it. It sounds nicer, but it leaves open a door you actually want to close.

And if you're the one getting the no

Take it for what it is: honest information. A short "Thanks for letting me know" is a good way to close. Arguing rarely helps.

Every clear answer makes room for the next encounter. And maybe that's the one where it clicks.
